have you every tried any of the Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lipsticks?? if not, you better run to your nearest drugstore now!!! coz they are amazing!!!! I love these lippies... I'm pretty sure you would fall inlove with them too...

- the colors are gorgeous

- the finish is very smooth... not too creamy, not too dry.. I'd say it's just right

- it wouldn't dry out your lips

- the price is not too bad, $5.99 each.. I got mine while CVS was having a BOGOF sale.. so really not bad!

- the packaging is very simple, none of that fancy shmancy useless stuff on it

- it has a nice sweet scent to it that I love.. it's so girly, you'll find yourself sniffin on it before or after you put it on

- it lasts a decent amount of hours... I'm just not too specific about the staying power when it comes to lip products as I really don't mind reapplying them

I got the Crush because I was instantly attracted to the color when I swatched it at the store... it's a bit orange-y & coral-y at the same time which shouts 'summer time!!' so I had to grab it... I will be doing a look using this lippie soon...

& the Pink Champagne just because I've seen a few makeup gurus on youtube raving about this, so I had to get it just coz this Curious George wants to see what the hype was all about... so far, I'm lovin it!!! I used it on an EOTD on this post...

I purchased a couple of false eyelash sets in two different styles.. each set has ten pairs each..

as you can see, I'm into the kind that extends outwards, at the moment.. these are the kind that gradually gets thicker & longer at the end... for me this kind makes you look more feminine while giving you a really natural looking long lases... I can't wait to use these on my looks & for going out as well...

sorry, no MAC in this collection... since I usually wear them only once or twice, I feel that it's not very practical to buy an expensive one... plus remember, I'm a cheapie?? what I can't wait to get my hands on are the Shisem lashes.... any suggestions where I can buy them the cheapest???  

MAS RED CHERRIES POR FAVOR

the discount mall right next to my son's school is starting to be my favorite kill time spot... LOL.. I strolled thru the mini stores today & I didn't really find anything interesting to get... so I just got some more Red Cherry lashes...
I also got another Brush-on Eyelash Adhesive since I really really liked the black one I got from before (see this post for details on that)... I.M.O. this is better than any eyelash glue I've ever used, better than Ardell, better than the NYX one, even better than the DUO-which by the way STUNK!!... this one has a little bit of a strong smell but it goes away really fast as it dries up really quickly as well... you didn't have to wait 30 seconds before you can put your falsies on... the only downside to this adhesive is that it sticks really good, which means it's kind of hard to remove as well... but with a good eye makeup remover, there's really no problem with that...

I was trying to talk to the owner of the store about doing some sort of collaboration with me in selling some Red Cherry false eyelashes online... but there was a little bit of a language barrier, the conversation reminded me of me & my manfriend... LOL... so yeah, that was my first attempt with him... I'll try again next time... let me know if any of you are interested...

DISCOUNT MALL

since my son started pre-K camp, I've been hitting up the store near their school - the Discount Mall... I know, I know!! but that's where I found the Red Cherry lashes so I don't care what people say... LOL... I've been goin there just to check out if I can find other stuff... & also, I just recently started selling stuff on ebay so I'm on the look out for cheap, cool stuff that I might be able to make money out of...

I didn't really find anything worth buying then selling... there are a lot of cute clothes but I don't think clothes will make that much profit if sold on ebay unless I get them in bulk/wholesale... so, I just picked up a few things, not things that I really have to get but did, just coz!

got some Stella(whatever the hell that brand is!!?) brushes, all I know is that they're cheap ass brushes & I might say they are good quality brushes...

SWEET! RED CHERRIES

just a quick post before I start getting ready for tonight... we're havin' Davi's birthday celebration tonight instead of his actual birthday, which is on the 13th.... coz all of our friends are gonna be here, we're gonna be complete only this weekend, so my friend Michelle thought of just doin our thing this week....

I just really have to post this as I am soooooooo stoked on what I found today!! I went to one of the local discount malls here in town in desperation to find a big brown belt which I forgot to get at the mall & since the discount mall is just about a block or 2 from my house I just decided to go there real quick... well, I found some red cherry falsies there for $1.99! sweeeeet!!!! I could not believe my eyes when I saw them, I thought I was dreamin!! hahaha... okay so I'm over reacting, it's just that I never thought I would find them there or anywhere... so I picked up four different styles & one Bliss brand(?) not sure if this has good quality so I just got one to test it out... I got them in #42, #66, #99 & #600...I also picked up a couple of makeup brushes, it's the Stella France brand(?) one eyeshadow brush that I can use for blending or highlighting & one angle shadow brush that's perfect for putting shadows on the bottom lash line... it's a little bit flimsy though so we'll see how it does... I might wear one of the Red Cherry falsies tonight so just watch out for pictures from tonight's event... I better go coz I still have to do mah nails... see ya all laters!!

a little update:

my friend Michelle, who's into photography, decided to do a photo shoot today of RC & Jennifer so she had asked me & Sarah(fellow makeup whore..LOL!) to do their makeup... this is why I got some new stuff today so I can use it for this gig... I will do a post on this as soon as I get a copy of the pictures...

it's also Anwar's birthday today... so we're gonna go to his house to BBQ & drink.... I did my eyes & took pictures so I will do an EOTD/LOTD post as soon as I get the chance to...

oh, & guess what I just found out today?! the MAC pro palette is now available on the MAC website... I forgot how I found out about it as I was too excited to check out the site to see for myself... but when they started doin this is what I wanna know!! was I the last person to find out?? so not cool!! LOL! but hey I'm still super stoked coz the nearest MAC pro store from where I live is about an hour away(Santa Barbara), but woohoo! I no longer have to drive all that far coz I can just order it from MACcosmetics.com... it's free S&H with $60/more purchase ya know!!... now that is good news!!

here is my wishlist from MAC right now... I'm not sure when this wish will be fulfilled, but I do hope soon!

BOGO FREE REVLON

yet another post on a mini drugstore haul... thank goodness for buy one get one sale!! heehee....

well, I actually went to CVS today just to return the L'Oreal H.I.P. cream shadow paint (see BOGO GRATIS post on 3/2/09)... yeah, it didn't work out! it was a disappointment... a lot of cons about this item... actually no pros at all in my opinion... although I don't own any MAC paints, I still don't know why they would say this product is comparable to them... it dries out really fast & if not used sparingly, you'll end up with a thick clump & creasing on your lids.... it might've been the way I applied it, however I still did not give it another shot... I was just not happy with how it felt on my lids... but that's just me...

so since I'm already there, of course I had to look around... one thing that didn't happen is that I didn't get any brushes at all... I know! that's a first right!?! on the other hand, I did get some Revlon stuff coz CVS is having a BOGO sale for this brand right now... I've been waiting for a BOGO sale since the last time I got the Revlon ColorStay liquid foundation coz I wanted to try different shades... & I've also been eyeing their cream shadows for the longest time now... so I got me these...


I got these foundations in Medium Beige & Fresh Beige again... I know I said Fresh Beige did not match my skin tone but I tried it again at the store & it seem to disappear on my skin, so it was a go... I bought them in normal/dry skin this time though (with SPF 15 instead of only 6)...

I heard that Revlon's cream shadows is great eyeshadow base... got these in Moonlit Jewels(top) & Precious Metals(bottom)...

I got the Fantasy Lengths false lashes in Flirty & Intensifying... what sold me was that they are self adhesives, it's always a plus not having to fumble with the glue... it's a bitch to get the glue off them things... another pro is that the adhesives are black, which only means you don't have to worry about it blending with your eyeliners (unless of course you wear a different eye liner color which I rarely do)... the only thing that bums me out is that they only included one pair of extra adhesives, so I'm thinking I probably still have to use glue later on when the adhesives wear out... the falsies were not included in the BOGO sale but the makeup department manager hooked me up... she rang up only one of 'em... kewlest!!! (too bad there's only 2 styles that I liked otherwise I woulda gotten more) she also hooked me up with some coupons & the shaving creams were gratis baby!! LOL!! she was hella nice! more reason why I love CVS!
