UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

Saturday, May 8th... we left Bakersfield around half past 2 in the afternoon for L.A., heading towards Universal Studios in Hollywood... we left hella late coz we slept in! LOL... we didn't really care about being there early since we've been there so many times already... we got there around 4:30ish... we just wanted to see stuff that we haven't seen yet & then go on rides that we really like.... so we watched the Animals Actors show, very cute!!! we also wanted to see the Fear Factor show but apparently they've closed that one... we went on the Revenge of the Mummy ride & The Simpsons ride.... had Ben & Jerry's churro sundae then walked around the City Walk...
here are a few pictures taken at the park...

***WARNING!!!! PIC HEAVY***

with Davi, Ben & Jerry!
paparazzi shot???

Paul Blart is datchu???

JuSt gOoFin aRoUnD

Fred & Wilma Flinstone

the celebs & their bodyguards tryina block the paparazzis.... LOL

showin off our sexy tummies!!

we are the biggest cam whores ever!!!!

after Universals, we headed to Anaheim, where the baptism will be... we decided to watch a movie at an IMAX theater before heading to our hotel... we ended up at The Shops at Anaheim Garden Walk... bought our tickets only to find out that we were an hour early for the show... so we decided to grab a bite before the movie... being that we're not from that area, we just chose a restaurant very randomly on the map... so we picked Roy's Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine... hmmmmm... Hawaiian Fusion, sounds very casual right?!? well, we thought wrong!!! hahaha... we walked into this fine dining atmosphere where everyone were dressed very, well, "fine-dininglyshly", while we were in our most casual attire... I mean we went inside a very nice restaurant in tattered jeans & flip flops & all... hahaha... it was a bit awkward at first but we just behaved like ourselves & we were fine after a while.... according to the website, the restaurant offers the "aloha" spirit, uhmmm I did not feel that at all!! the staff were nice & all but there wasn't anything that would convince you that they are practicing the "aloha" spirit... I mean, if you hear "aloha", you'll think: laid back, very welcoming, island decors, maybe girls in hula skirts & leis.... nothing like that.... & what did we eat?? sushi & rolls... hahaha... well, the website did say "European techniques and Asian cuisine meet Hawaiian hospitality to create a fine dining experience unlike any other." confusing, noh!??! well, they did include fusion(a style of cooking that combines ingredients and techniques from very different cultures or countries) in the name but there is no way that place should be called Hawaiian at all.... don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to knock the place down, their food is amazing!! but they got me confused with the whole Hawaiian thing... sorry!! just thought I'd rant about something since I haven't in a while... hahahaha

since we already walked into a fine dining restaurant looking like how we did, might as well go all the way & cam whore right?!?! LOL

ahh... whatevers!! coz I had fun at the movies!!!!! Iron Man 2 was awesummmmm!!!!
& is it just me or is Tony Stark looking hotter & hotter??? also, I loved Scarlett Johansson's character in this movie... she was hawwwtttt!! hahaha.. I might color my hair red & get it permed just like hers.. just because she was hot in that movie... LOL... go watch it, you'll know what I'm talkin about... haha

JO KOY

as mentioned, we started our weekend with the Jo Koy show in Bakersfield...

I dunno if you've heard of him, but he is one funny dude!!! I've always loved him but after this show, I decided that he is now my favorite stand up comic.... hands down!! he is geeuuud!!!! the show was awesome!! I haven't laughed like that in years!! I was in tears from too much laughing, I'm not even kidding you!!

if you haven't heard or seen him perform, I've included these video clips from youtube of one of Jo Koy's funniest performance.... it might be a Filipino thing, (being that Jo Koy is half Filipino & half sumthin else!! LOL) I mean I dunno if you'll be able to relate to his jokes, but I think either way, you'll enjoy these "veehjows" (videos - as OG Filipinos would say it)...

****scroll down to find my music player on the left hand side of the page... click pause then hit play to watch these videos****

DON'T MAKE HIM ANGRY (parts I thru VI)

Jo Koy is also on the Chelsea Lately show on Channel E more than twice a week... so check him out there... at the show, he also mentioned that he will have another one hour thingie on Comedy Central but didn't know the exact date yet... LOL... so just watch out for that! also, according to him, the producers of the Cosby Show (& some other big shows he mentioned that I could not remember) is coming out with a new TV sitcom for him... awww... he's blowin up!!! I love it!! I would definitely watch out for that show!

too bad, cameras, both flash & video are not allowed in the theater during the show... so just enjoy these pictures!! =)

& a lil bit camwhorin..... in the car on the way to Bakersfield...

with the manfriend in front of the FOX theater....

I wanted to buy a "JOSEP" shirt & get a picture taken with him at the end of the show, but the line was way too long & my feet did not allow me to stand & walk around any more....

these are the shoes I wore that night... I know!! they are high, but I usually don't mind high heels... but what made the torture so much worse is that, without really thinking, I applied some lotion on my feet before putting these shoes on... so the foot bed was slippery as hell!!! as you can see my feet were a bit red & there's like markings that they have experienced nothing but comfort...

so for the tip of the day: "Do not put lotion on your feet right before you slip into your stilettos"

right after the show, we just headed to the car where I changed my shoes... then headed to The Padre Hotel which is located right next to the FOX theater.... it's this classy, very high end hotel that offers a lot of amenities, i.e. fitness center, bar, restaurant, a lounge if you feel like dancin & etc... too bad I got really sick, so we didn't really get to enjoy everything there is to see/do in the hotel... but I had fun! & atleast now we know which hotel to hit up if ever we're in Bakersfield again.... if you happen to be in Bakersfield, do check out the Padre Hotel... you'll love it there!

we ate at Denny's after Padre's.... then stayed at the manfriend's cousin's pad....

leavin you with some of the stuff I used/wore that night..

TRIP TO WA STATE

since Davi had 2 weeks of vacation from work & Devean 1 month from school, we decided to drive up North to spend Christmas & New Year with family...

talk about being comfortable.... everything I need next to me, plus my iPhone 2G on my lap(not pictured)

baby Daddy took the first shift... he drove 11 hours & 5 hours for me.. fair share eh?!?

this was somewhere in Oregon (Eugene maybe!)... I took a snapshot of this view coz it was just too pretty... I was amazed given the fact that I've never seen snow before..... I was driving while I was taking pictures of the scenery, Davi was like "Babe, seriously!!! just drive! we have the kids in the car".. LOL
after 3 gas stops; 8 Pixar/Dreamworks/Disney movies, 4 Starbucks bottled frappuccino, 10X repeat of The Blueprint 3 CD; about a hundred "are we there yet?"s; 16 & a half hour drive -- Seattle....

we left on the 25th of December, Christmas day & got there on the 26th, just in time for the manfriend's family's Christmas 'pyjama party'....

my kids clearly did not get the memo, RE: pajama attire.. LOL...

neither did we, until later... we coulda got some cute ass PJs like Christine's... =)

they took us to Steven's Pass (in Skykomish, WA) the next day so the kids can play on the snow...

I've never seen the temperature display on the rearview mirror of our car do that... that's crazy!!! hahaha... sorry! but no snow in central Cali, atleast not in my errryah...
North + ICE = NAHHYYYYYYS!!! (as said by Borat)

two little people all excited to see snow for the first time...
