here are my favorites for the month of February
these are the items I used most of the time.. this month is all about neutrals... although I did go to a wedding reception of a friend on the 20th where I did a blue smokey eye look.. but other than that, my running-errand look is very natural...

(from top left to top right)
Revlon Age Defying Makeup & Concealer Compact in EARLY TAN
I only use the concealer part of it... it does a very good job in hiding imperfections... you name it, redness, zits, dark spots... I originally bought this compact for contouring purposes.. since the shade of the makeup is darker than my complection, I thought I could use it to contour my nose & my cheeks.. when I tried it, it was a little too light for a contouring shade... so I just tried the concealer & thank G, it actually turned out to be a good product, otherwise I just wasted my money again

IMJU Fiberwig
I'm not that happy about this product... don't get me wrong, it does what it says it was gonna do, which is to lengthen your eyelashes, but it doesn't give it volume... so I decided to use it with the next favorite item

Bare Escentuals Buxom Lash Mascara
I love this with or without any other mascaras... it lengthens & separates your lashes without clumping but like the Fiberwig, it doesn't give my lashes that much volume.. so what do I do?? use them together... & together, big long lashes!!!

Maybelline NY Color Sensational Lipstick in PINK PLEASE
looooove this lipstick.. color, creamy consistency, smell, packaging... everything... see the picture below for the swatch.. eventhough this picture didn't do it justice, it still looks yummy right?!

e.l.f. Therapeutic Conditioning Balm in STRAWBERRY CREME
now this is a really good conditioning gloss... it really heals my lips.. I would just put it on before I go to bed at night & my chapped lips would be healed the next morning... I also have it in Vanilla Creme, but I find this other one too thick & it makes my lips too greasy feeling... for a dollar?? it's win win!

(from bottom right to bottom left)
e.l.f. Brow Kit in DARK
this is my fave brow kit ever... it is the perfect shade for my brow hair color, it makes it look really natural... I love the gel like feel formula that makes it so easy to apply.. I have no doubt that this is the first product I would hit pan with...

perfect for everyday sheer tint on the cheeks... it gives my face that very natural glow...

MAC Eye Shadow in MINK & SABLE
I find my self reaching for this e/s a lot... I just love the effect it gives my eyes... it gives it a little lift too...

MAC Powder Blush in BLUNT
my new go-to contour powder... I actually got this on accident.. I was actually thinkin about EMOTE blush when I got this at the CCO... I got home & looked at my list & found out I got the wrong one... I was all disappointed when I swatched it, coz at first it looked kinda reddish... but I gave it another shot & luckily, I ended up likin it... with a very light hand, you can achieve the perfect contour shade on your cheeks, even on the 'double chin'.. LOL

I forgot to include the MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural in MEDIUM... I've been using this & only this lately... just for a light coverage, especially that my face is at its worst during winter time, I just feel like I have to let my skin breathe a little... & I do think it's helping coz the breakouts are kinda clearing up...

so, these are mine... what are yours??

for the 'Nail Of The Week' segment, China Glaze -

like I've mentioned in an earlier post, this is my very first China Glaze nail polish & so far so good... I am very pleased with the quality & the color... I'm pretty sure I will love the colors of my next China Glaze polishes... =) I'm excited to pick up another one...

I applied it along with the Sally Hansen Double Duty Base & Top Coat...

and this is how it looks like with one coat of each.... (please excuse the dry skin, to my excitement with how well the nail file worked, I think I overfiled it to where my skin got scratched a little bit too much... LOL)

maybe a review will follow of how long it stayed on without chipping... ciao for now!

did you hear about the $1 sale that NYX had back in January? did you buy anything? did your order arrive yet? my answer to that is I did, I did & mine finally came just today after more than a month of waiting...

here is the huge package from NYX

and the styro-stuffer wonderland...

they came in these 2 big bubble wrapped packs....

I give NYX 5 stars for packaging but not very many stars for the shipping time... I do give them consideration given the fact that they had that awesome sale that probably resulted in a ginormous number of orders... so despite, that I am still satisfied with my very first NYX purchase...

watch out for the big reveal of the items I bought in the next posts....

I went to Sally's today for 2 reasons:

1: because I was dyin to buy some China Glaze nail polishes

2: because I need to get me some type of blackhead remover (one of the big reasons why I haven't done any FOTD/LOTD is because my face is really bad right now, mainly because of some minor zits & major blackhead situation)

so here is what I got today...
- a nail file... (I need a really good one... any suggestions??
- my very first China Glaze nail polish - SPONTANEOUS
(I am going back for the other colors that are on my 'drool list'; FOR AUDREY, SOUR APPLE & SHOCKING PINK)
- Orly nail polish - BASKET CASE
- Beauty Secrets' blackhead/whitehead remover

what are your favorite China Glaze nail polish colors??

around April of last year, my cousin Happy wanted to take pictures prior to having her Dentist take her braces off... so she had asked me to do her makeup for the shoot... & here are the pictures....

I told her I was gonna put these up on my blog but totally forgot about it... so here it is finally after almost a year.... sorry H!

isn't she GAHWJUS!?!?!
I can't quite remember the products I used on her... all I can recall was that I used:
Bare Minerals foundation - Medium Beige
Caudalie Beauty Elixir
(99 % sure) NARS Blush - Orgasm
Revlon cream shadow - Moonlit Jewels (used the green one as base)
Wet n Wild - Sensual Sage e/s
MAC - Mink & Sable e/s
MAC - Carbon e/s
L'Oreal H.I.P. cream e/l - Black

I remembered that she didn't let me touch her eyebrows...

I remembered that I didn't need to contour her cheeks coz she already has hollow cheeks... biatch!! haha

I remembered that I enjoyed doing her makeup, she has such a smooth skin... again, biatch!! LOL

I remembered I had to work fast coz she was running late... her appointment with Jeff was at 6 & she didn't tell me about it til like around 5... so we had to do her hair & makeup really quickly... not too bad for a rushed makeup huh?!!?.. LOL

these pictures were taken by Jeff a.k.a. 'KUYA JEP' ('kuya' is a Tagalog word meaning brother/older brother or respected older male figure.... 'Jep' instead of Jeff because most Filipinos have this confusion between the letters P & F and B & V.. where some tend to mispronounce words with these letters... i.e. spoon & pork...).. Jeff is her bestfriend's husband... he's a great photographer... click on the links to see his awesome work....

and click here for the link to his post on my cousins pictorial...

fake eyelash collection

this is where I stash them in... just temporarily until I find something cuter... LOL

it's starting to fill up so I might have to put 'em in those cute photo boxes from a craft store

RED CHERRY LASHES + 2 BLISS ones which are the exact same thing, just a different name

ARDELL LASHES... still on my wish list for this brand are the BABIES... so far, I've only used the WISPIES(bottom right)

REVLON Fantasy Lengths - Intensifying(top) & Flirty(bottom)
SELECT LASH (from the .99 cent store)
E.L.F. - Natural(top) & Dramatic(bottom) - love these!!!
& my one & only NYX LASH - #115

& a bunch of China ones from sissy... =) she's not really into makeup so she doesn't really know what to send me... but she just threw this in the package she sent me last year...

& this is the most recent one I've purchased... I got it for $2.29(including S&H)... 10 pairs of long cross falsies
up close

sorry, no MAC in this collection... since I usually wear them only once or twice, I feel that it's not very practical to buy an expensive one... plus remember, I'm a cheapie?? what I can't wait to get my hands on are the Shisem lashes.... any suggestions where I can buy them the cheapest???

since I made some moolah off of some stuff I sold on eBay, I decided to treat my self to a little shoe haul... I think I deserve it, I have not been spending any money on makeup or clothes or anything for my self for almost 2 months now...  so I think it's about time I give my self a little reward for doing so good...

so, I've been eyein on a few cute items at but managed to narrow it down to only 3 items... I ended up with these at checkout.... & I just wanna say, PayPal is ahhhsum!!!! LOL
for all 3 items, I paid only $60+... their stuff are so inexpensive.... plus if you purchase $50 or more you can enjoy their free shipping promo... I think it's a great great deal!! 3 great looking shoes for <$70?! no shipping?!? I say heck ya!!

& these are on my 'DROOL LIST'...
I gotta hold off on the clothes, I decided to wait until I'm done with the workout program.... hoping that I'd lose some weight/fats.... the thought of buying a lot of cute clothes will be my driving force to keep going on the P90X program.... wish me luck!!

BTW, we are on week 3 & still going.... =)
