since I could not find a great excuse why this purchase, I'll just go straight to it....

here are the palettes I bought from eBay just recently....

Pro 88 Matte Color Eyeshadow Palette

this is my Pro 88 Ultra Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette, which I've had since I started getting addicted to makeup, before I even started blogging.... so I guess I've had this for about two years now?? yikes!! I wonder when this thing expires?!?!
this was purchased from Coastal Scents by the way....

comparing the two different palettes:
it's funny how I got the Shimmer palette in a matte casing & the Matte palette in a glossy casing.... it's all backwards.... talk about getting me confused on picking up which palette...

swatched a few colors....

Pro 6 Color Contour & Blush Palette

I got these two palettes from eBay...
Pro 6 Color Contour & Blush Palette ~ $15.99 free shipping
Pro 88 Matte Color Eyeshadow Palette ~ $1 + $8.95 s&h = $9.95

at Coastal Scents....
Ultra Shimmer 88 E/S Palette ~ $19.95 + s&h
88 Piece Makeup Palette $18.95 + s&h
Contour & Blush Palette $18.95 + s&h

prices are all the same at the Sedona Lace website except for the Contour & Blush Palette which is priced at $17.95 + s&h

so I saved a whole grip! just gotta love eBay for great deals as such!!

awww... my Pro Palette family
(ugh!!!! darn pic does not want to rotate!! LOL)

I can't wait to put these babies to use....

here are some of the products up close
I've been looking for this foreverrr... Walmart, Target, CVS, Walgreens... everywhere! you name the store I've been there to look for this baby... I finally found them at Rite-Aid the second time I went back there to check & there were only two left... these things are soooooo hard to find.... so ladies, if you ever find some, make sure you stock up!

here are some great swatches I found from some of my favorite nail blogs.... thanks ladies for letting me steal some pix... heehee...

(click on the names to visit their awesome blogs)

since I've heard so many makeup lovaahs ravin about the new line - Color Icon from Wet n Wild, I could not wait to get my self atleast one of the palettes to see why they're so crazy about them... I chose to get the PRIDE palette

& I also got Lagoon from the same line....

& you can see from these swatches why so many girls are crazy about them...
holy crap!!! they are uber pigmented! something you wouldn't expect from a brand that's so dirt cheap.... I was amazed!! I want to get me all 4 or 5??? palettes....

do you own any of these stuff?? are you as crazy over them as I am??

wonderin why I got so much stuff
& why I don't open & swatch most of 'em??
it's because,
1} I am gonna be doin a swap
with a lovely girl from London soon
(details in future posts)
2} I sell stuff on eBay
3} I'm putting some stuff together
for a giveaway
(watch out for that!)

this summer,  is all about CORALS when it comes to makeup... everywhere I look, I see Coral colored everything... & for some reason, I've been likin the look of neon corals.... I dunno what it is, but this weird bright lip color look seem to attract me... although I've been wanting to get me one neon coral lip color, I haven't really gone out to look for it...

but yesterday, (while my mom was at the Filipino store, I decided to check out the beauty supply store next door... they carry O.P.I. n/p's so I thought I'd see if I'll find something I'll like) guess what I found??!? the perfect neon coral lipstick!!!! & two other things coral!

here is my loot of the day:

got these 2 uber cheap lippies... they are $2.59 + tax/each

I'm not very fond of the Rachel Perry packaging, but I do like the Beautiful Image one... it's very simple & chic!

here are the lippies side by side
Rachel Perry - Painted Desert Peach (left)
Beautiful Image - Spontaneous (right)
when I swatched the Spontaneous at the store, I was like, "dressmaker, dressmaker?!? ISTHATCHU??" LOL.... they look so identical!!!

see for your self on these swatches

and here they are next to each other
Beautiful Image - Spontaneous (left)
MAC - Dressmaker, Dressmaker (right)
isn't it crazy how they look so much alike???? it would've been the perfect dupe only if this brand is accessible to everybody...

on the other hand, based on swatches I've seen from different blogs, the Painted Desert Peach would be a good dupe for either the
YSL Rouge Pur lipstick 52 Rosy Coral
or the
Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick 187 Genial

I also got the O.P.I. You're Such A Kabuki Queen... I didn't really think this n/p is a coral shade when I was at the store.. but when I painted it on my nails it looks coral with a rosy tint to it.... this one is on sale for $6.95 + tax....

swatched, one coat

did anybody see the game 7 for Lakers & Celtics last night?? OMG!!! wasn't it the most exciting basketball game ever!?! the game was hella close!! I was screaming my lungs out the whole 4th quarter!! hahaha... I am so glad the Lakers won!!!! my Lakers inspired look was a lucky charm... LOL

yesterday, my summer officially started as my son's last day of school was last Wednesday! yay!! break from all the school drama for a bit.... time for some hot summer vacation!

what are your plans this summer?? goin anywhere special???

happy summer everyone!!

ladies & gentlemen... presenting.... the biggest cam whore!!!!

actually I did this look just to wear the Lakers colors so I could show my support..... hoping & praying that THEY WOULD FREAKIN WIN!!! but this was also a remake of one of the looks done at the MAC Class I attended back in April (see post HERE)... on look #3, which was the Grammy Award Celebrity look... they used Vibrant Grape, Goldmine, Shroom MAC eyeshadows & a darker lip color... I changed up the lip color... & since I don't have these e/s except for Goldmine, I decided to use the faux Hello Kitty palette I got last month.... I'm just not gonna mention who gave it to me, for privacy purposes... I got a few stuff from her, & didn't know what to do with them.. so I thought I'd give it a shot & see what's up....

so this is what the packaging looks like... I don't own any MAC palettes from the HK collection, so I don't have anything to compare this to...

just by looking at the shadows from the palette, they seem pretty pigmented

so, I swatched them (on top of a Revlon concealer)... & I was not disappointed... they are very pigmented & also offers a set of very vibrant colors....

just thought I'd compare them to a few of my eyeshadows... I only have a few MAC & none of them are purple... so I compared them to what I have that I feel are closely identical....

I must admit, the colors are great.. the only way you can differentiate these eyeshadows from the real thing is that when blended, the colors fade.... I mean, the pigments/shimmer - completely gone! all you'll have left on your skin is a matte version of that color.... also there's a lot of fall outs...

I won't knock 'em... but I won't buy 'em!

oh btw, I had my hair trimmed last Thursday... so here are a few pictures of the not-so-new do.... not-so-new coz I've had this style for quite a while now.. I've just been getting it trimmed... I really need a change of hairstyle... maybe I'll grow it out after summer time...
