MORE ROSE SALVE, MORE FUN!

a few months ago, when I was at Bath & Body Works, I had inquired about the Rose Salve.. the sales associate advised me that the Rose Salve is highly in demand so they barely get them in the store because it's always sold out... they asked me for my info so they can call me whenever they get them in.. I wasn't gonna give them my info coz I wasn't really that interested, besides I just got the Smith's Rosebud Salve from Sephora last month (click HERE to see that post)... I was just curious coz I've heard a lot of people ravin about it... then the girl went on about how she's so crazy about this product & blah blah blah blah blah... damn the art of sales... so I thought -- okay whatever! give them the darn info, they probably won't get them in the store anyway... this was maybe 3 months ago... they just barely called me on Sunday... I totally forgot all about it!!

so this is what I picked up yesterday...
so you ask, "why 3?"... & I answer, I have no clue!! hahaha... when the girl called me, she asked if I wanted all three, apparently I requested for three??? & WHY IN THE HELL WOULD I DO THAT????!?!? I mean it's very possible at that time... but right now, it doesn't really make sense... LOL.. again, she convinced me by saying "well, it's really good to stock up on this because it always sell out really fast... like right now, I only have these three left... also, it's buy 2 get 1 free... you can give them as a gift"... again, curse you sales protocol!!! LOL

I love this product, however I don't think I need all three... one alone can probably last me a whole year, if not longer... so whaddya think about including this in a giveaway??? hmmm... 150 followers??? I'm getting there [YAY!!], so lemme think about other good stuff to giveaway then I'll get back to you on that...

this product has a lot of uses, I mainly use it on my lips... I just apply it as much as I want & I also use this before & after I use a lip scrub.... I use it on my cuticles, before applying nail polish, after removing nail polish & just whenever I remember to do it... I also tried it on the beaufee's arm when he got slightly burned at work... I think the salve helped rush the healing process... I also apply it on my heels & my toesies.. on my knees & elbows... the package also says you can use it on the face, that I haven't tried, but it's believed to be good for blemishes??

a little bit of comparison between the
C.O. BIGELOW Rose Salve (left)
and the
SMITH's Rosebud Salve (right)

they are the exact same size, & contains 0.8 oz / 22 g
when it comes to smell, the C.O. Bigelow has a sweet smell, almost like some kind of pastry... I'm really bad at describing scents but that's what it reminds me of... the Smith's on the other hand has a waxy smell to it.. I woud say almost like a non-scented candle... neither smell bothers me however...

the colors are a little bit different from each other... C.O Bigelow has a pale peachy-pink color while the Smith's has a orangey tint to it....

despite the difference in shade, when applied, they both come out clear

they are both Petrolatum based, a substance also contained in Petroleum jellies... compared to the creamier consistency of Petroleum Jellies like the Vaseline brand, the Rosebud Salve is more solid in form.... however, when applied, they have the same feel to it...

C.O. BIGELOW Rose Salve
Ingredients:
Petrolatum, Lanolin Oil, Squalane, Flavor (Aroma), Octyldodecanol,Gossypium Herbaceum, (Cotton) Seed Oil, Rosa Canina Fruit Extract, Bisabolol, Jojoba Esters, Red 30 Lake (CI 73360).

$5.50 per tin at Bath & Body Works

SMITH'S Rosebud Salve
A trade secret blend of essential oils (Aromol), Cottonseed Oil in a special Petrolatum base.

XTREME WEAR HAUL

I've been on a blue nail polish kick lately... one blue n/p I've been lemming forevers is the Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Pacific Blue.... after seeing this in a lot of blogs, I decided I gotta have it along with the Wet Cement... for some reason, whenever I see a haul including the Pacific Blue, the Wet Cement is also there, like they're twins that can't get rid of each other or sumthin... so I guess it's safe to say that these two are a hit???

so I waited & waited & waited for a good sale or just any sale on the Sally Hansen products... & finally last week, Rite-Aid had a BOGO 50% off on all S.H. nail products...

here are the stuff I got...

here are the swatches in the same order.. 2 coats

In the Spotlight, upclose....

played with it a little... applied 2 coats on top of each nail...
I don't really like the outcome except for the one on top of Wet Cement... but it was just mehh... I think In the Spotlight is a fail & is going back to Rite-Aid soon... but I might try it on a black n/p first before getting rid of it...

for me, the Pacific Blue was also a disappointment... I didn't like it on my nails... not as much as I like it in the pictures I've seen in a few blog posts... but maybe coz I painted it only on one nail... I might end up likin it if I applied it on all ten... we'll see...

the Wet Cement, however is a sure hit... it's a more toned down version of  China Glaze's Basket Case.. & it is very similar to ESSIE's Chinchilly I think....

I'm still deciding on the Green With Envy... I might have a love & hate relationship with this one in the future... right now, I like it, but don't love it!!! I dunno! I'm super uncertain about this one...

A mini review:
I.M.O.

- the packaging is super cute... nothing like any other! very unique
- they have a wide range of shades
- very affordable.. $2.99 a pop! (BOGO sales are a plus!!)
- consistency is perfect, not too creamy, not too runny.. just right!

for now that's all I can think of... no negative comments as of yet... I need to wear them for atleast a week before I can give a fair review...

what do you girls think of this line from Sally Hansen? any favorite shades??

LACQUERIZED MANGLAZE GIVEAWAY

just a few minutes earlier I've discovered about this gorgeous matte black nail polish by ManGlaze nail polishes thru Iris' blog - Pimp My Nails... as soon as I saw it I just know I gotta have that n/p!! so I went straight to the website & as I was browsing through it to purchase the featured nail polish - MATTE IS MURDER in Iris' blog, I also got curious about the FUGGEN UGLY shade.. the S&H is the same with or without the FUGGEN UGLY so I figured I might as well get it... so I decided to do my homework, googled this brand for a swatch & I found another interesting blog -- LACQUERIZED by Michèle... & guess what?!? she is givin away these 2 n/p's, MATTE IS MURDER & FUGGEN UGLY.... how awesome is that??? so Imma try my luck on this giveaway first... if not, then I guess Imma have to shell out a lil bit of moolah just to satisfy my nail polish fix, which is by the way gettin out of control!!!!!

MINI LUSH HAUL

this is my LUSH haul at the Universal City Walk

***click on the item name to see info
(ingredients, reviews & etc)
on the product at LUSH[dot]com

I only got the 0.320 lb, this was the least they have at the time... I got it for $16.64 @ $52.00/lb...

it looks like a grainy wasabe or maybe guacamole!!

3.3 fl. oz. $8.95
also available in a 8.4 fl.oz bottle for $18.95
I got the smaller version coz this is just for trial... I'm not sure if my skin will like LUSH...

when I walked in there, I asked the girl that helped me for a set that will help with my break outs... so she recommended these 2 first items plus the ENZYMION moisturizer... since I still have a lot of my Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel.. plus for a small tub it's ridiculously expensive so, I decided to just skip this item... I thought, moisturizer is moisturizer! I don't think it'll make a difference if I use this or not... but we'll see!!

BABY FACE CLEANSER 1.2 oz. for $9.95
this is my favorite one out of all the stuff I got!! the girl said this is a good makeup remover, when she said that, I was sold!! hahaha... according to the website, the base of this soap is made up of stuff that melts & grab hold of makeup & dirt... what I love about this is you don't need water, so you don't even have to be in a bathroom to use this.... click on the link to see directions on how to use this cleanser...

isn't it so cute??? it looks like a face of a chubby baby... hahaha

MINT JULIPS LIP SCRUB 0.8 oz. for $8.95
I love the smell of this stuff... it smells like minty chocolate!

& to give you an idea of how big these items are....

I haven't really tried any of these stuff yet.. but as soon as I do, I'll give you an update or better yet, if my busy life permits, a review!! haha... I'm not promising anything but I shall try!

do you have any of these stuff??
do you girls like LUSH???
what is your favorite LUSH product??

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

Saturday, May 8th... we left Bakersfield around half past 2 in the afternoon for L.A., heading towards Universal Studios in Hollywood... we left hella late coz we slept in! LOL... we didn't really care about being there early since we've been there so many times already... we got there around 4:30ish... we just wanted to see stuff that we haven't seen yet & then go on rides that we really like.... so we watched the Animals Actors show, very cute!!! we also wanted to see the Fear Factor show but apparently they've closed that one... we went on the Revenge of the Mummy ride & The Simpsons ride.... had Ben & Jerry's churro sundae then walked around the City Walk...
here are a few pictures taken at the park...

***WARNING!!!! PIC HEAVY***

with Davi, Ben & Jerry!
paparazzi shot???

Paul Blart is datchu???

JuSt gOoFin aRoUnD

Fred & Wilma Flinstone

the celebs & their bodyguards tryina block the paparazzis.... LOL

showin off our sexy tummies!!

we are the biggest cam whores ever!!!!

after Universals, we headed to Anaheim, where the baptism will be... we decided to watch a movie at an IMAX theater before heading to our hotel... we ended up at The Shops at Anaheim Garden Walk... bought our tickets only to find out that we were an hour early for the show... so we decided to grab a bite before the movie... being that we're not from that area, we just chose a restaurant very randomly on the map... so we picked Roy's Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine... hmmmmm... Hawaiian Fusion, sounds very casual right?!? well, we thought wrong!!! hahaha... we walked into this fine dining atmosphere where everyone were dressed very, well, "fine-dininglyshly", while we were in our most casual attire... I mean we went inside a very nice restaurant in tattered jeans & flip flops & all... hahaha... it was a bit awkward at first but we just behaved like ourselves & we were fine after a while.... according to the website, the restaurant offers the "aloha" spirit, uhmmm I did not feel that at all!! the staff were nice & all but there wasn't anything that would convince you that they are practicing the "aloha" spirit... I mean, if you hear "aloha", you'll think: laid back, very welcoming, island decors, maybe girls in hula skirts & leis.... nothing like that.... & what did we eat?? sushi & rolls... hahaha... well, the website did say "European techniques and Asian cuisine meet Hawaiian hospitality to create a fine dining experience unlike any other." confusing, noh!??! well, they did include fusion(a style of cooking that combines ingredients and techniques from very different cultures or countries) in the name but there is no way that place should be called Hawaiian at all.... don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to knock the place down, their food is amazing!! but they got me confused with the whole Hawaiian thing... sorry!! just thought I'd rant about something since I haven't in a while... hahahaha

since we already walked into a fine dining restaurant looking like how we did, might as well go all the way & cam whore right?!?! LOL

ahh... whatevers!! coz I had fun at the movies!!!!! Iron Man 2 was awesummmmm!!!!
& is it just me or is Tony Stark looking hotter & hotter??? also, I loved Scarlett Johansson's character in this movie... she was hawwwtttt!! hahaha.. I might color my hair red & get it permed just like hers.. just because she was hot in that movie... LOL... go watch it, you'll know what I'm talkin about... haha
