I have totally forgotten about this one.. just like how I forgot to post the Petals & Peacocks entry... signs of old age?!?! yikes!! how scary!!

so yeah, just a quick post to show you a lipstick loot from a week or two ago....

DRESSMAKER DRESSMAKER lipstick from the Prêt-à-Papier Collection by MAC... pkkonounced as 'pkkkrhhet ahh papiyerkkkhhhhh'... hahaha... I love trying to say that coz everytime I do, I know I am doin such a horrible job.... I love the French language, it sounds so nice... so sophistiqué!! I don't think I'll ever learn how to speak it though...

anyhoo... here are the pictures... 

 

this is a pretty soft coral color... perfect for the summer.... this lipstick has a LUSTRE finish which means your lips will look & feel smooth, soft and moist.... this lipstick also offers a sheer wet-look finish which I love coz it only means, no gloss nécessaire!!!

again, I almost missed this lipstick... mind you, I went back to the Macy's MAC counter a couple of times until I finally decided to purchase this one... there were like 3 left when I bought it.... whew!!!

I was also gonna get C-Thru & Fold and Tuck Tinted Lipglass, I tried the Fold and Tuck on top of the Dressmaker Dressmaker l/s but it was too shimmery for me... so I passed on that.... C-Thru, which has been on my 'drool list' for a while now, was also a flop... it feels too sticky & too thick on my lips... so I said no to that as well....

the other item I was also interested in was the Instant Chic Powder Blush but it was sold out!! thank G! coz it's another blush I probably won't need anyhow... so, that was actually a relief!

IT WAS ALMOST TOO LATE FOR PETALS & PEACOCKS

whew!! it was almost too late for this post!!! let me tell you the story why....

I was about ready to write a new post when I glanced at the list and noticed one post that does not say 'VIEW'... shoot!!! an unpublished post....

but I'm a big believer of "it's better late than never"... so here's the post that I thought I published but didn't....

I don't usually follow the trend... for some reason the new collection, new makeups from different brands don't interest me... I mean I am updated on what's hot or what not but I never buy new stuff right away... instead, I find my self buying those things a few weeks or even months later... usually when most stores or when websites no longer have them in stock.... I dunno why! maybe I just wait for the crowd to die down?!? or maybe I'm just weird like that....

so I've been droolin on the Petals & Peacocks lipstick from the MAC Liberty of London  for a while now....

while writing this post, I just realized why I don't jump in on new stuff right away.. I think really what it is is that I think about it a lot of times first, weigh it out... if I really should or should not, before I buy a certain product... there are times that I wait, probably so it would be gone or sold out because I know for a fact that I probably don't need that certain product anyway.... sometimes it's easier to be all disappointed that you missed an item than really getting it then end up using it only a couple of times or worse yet, end up not liking it at all... there are some items that I would be all excited about for a couple of days then would forget about it right after... but there are some that really would not let me sleep at night.... & one of those is the Petals & Peacocks...

this collection was realeased here in the US in early March.... imagine, 2 months of lemming on it... geez!! I think that was more than enough thinking time doncha think??? you won't believe how many times I went on the MAC Cosmetics website & added this lippie on my cart but never really bought it.... until finally deciding to purchase it, it was already out of stock!!!!! I almost cried!! just when I was really decided on getting something! but I said, oh well! I just thought it was probably not meant to be.... that's something I tell my self whenever I need help getting over something....

but I went to the mall last Tuesday & I found it at the MAC counter at Macy's...  the MAC girl said they have four left.... **gasp** but I didn't buy it yet because again I wanna make sure I really really like & need this lippie.... & let me tell you the story what really really really convinced me to get it....

so I tried it on, went home with it on.... guess what happened??? my man commented about it... he said, "wow, I like your lips right now" then said something that I don't think I can share with you here, coz it would probably get censored!! LOL.... let's just say it's TMI! I'll just let your imagination work on that one... anyways, in my attempt to get more info from him, I said "well, I've worn a color like this... remember the one that I wore at the JoKoy show!?" (click HERE to see pictures on the JoKoy post)... he told me this one is different because it has more of a purple tint to it.... I was in awe! Holy geez!! I can't believe he actually said that.. I mean just when I thought men never really cared.... I am now convinced that they actually pay attention... never underestimate your man, ladies!! haha... I was just in so much amazement that, he not only noticed but actually added his opinion about that lippie.... this totally made me call MAC right away to have one reserved for me.... & I picked it up today along with two other items.... they said they only had two left including mine... yikes!!

I got the 100 sheet wipes... coz I'm a lazy ass... sometimes I just like to wipe then crash...

the Blacktrack Fluid Line, which I wasn't planning on buying at all... but my L'Oreal H.I.P. cream liner is dryin out on me coz I haven't used it in a while.. when I put it on my lashline, little flakes get in my eyes & irritate them.... that's no bueno! so I decided it's time to invest on a good quality one...

I am so glad I got to snag one of these!! I must admit, my man has great taste... after all he got me!! LOL

TRUE BLOOD SEASON 3

just a quick post to say that I'm sorry for slackin on my blog posts... I've been really really busy on a lot of stuff.. you'll find out in the future posts....

but just a quick post to say that today is my hunnie's birthday... last year, we surprised him with a limousine that took us to a bar in Santa Barbara... here are a few pictures from last year...

he had no clue!! he was so shocked & so touched he teared up... we got him really good...

just a quick post also to say today is the season premiere of TRUE BLOOD Season 3... yeaahhhhh!! I'm so excited!! I can't wait.... 30 more minutes to go & I'mma see mah fave show of all times....

I think he is the hottest dead man I've ever seen.... I dunno! he's old & he dresses like ancient history in the series but there's something about him that attracts the hell out of me.... haha... sometimes I wish I was Sookie!! LOL

Jason Stackhouse is hottt!! but he seems so dumb in the show... haha... so I shifted my attention to Bill instead.. LOL

I wanted to do a True Blood, Vampiresque inspired look, but I don't have a red eyeshadow... **pouts**.... oh well!! just as long as I get to watch Season 3, finally, I'm a happy girl!! heehee...

I know, I know... I need a tan really bad!! layin out doesn't really work on my skin... the last tanning spray I tried gave me a really bad allergic reaction... I'm scared to try tanning beds coz I'm claustrophobic... so my last resort really are those tanning spray booths like Mystic Tan... have you guys tried that?? what do you recommend?? I'm accepting 2 cents on this... por favor coz me no clue!!

okay, so here's what I'm thinking...

I would like to throw one that would also include followers from all over the world, not only in the U.S. ... I think it's only fair to include my international followers.... so I was thinking of just having a MAC/Sephora gift card to give away... I haven't had any experience shipping anything internationally... I mean, I don't mind, I'm just a little scared about the package getting lost in transit & shit like that... so, I thought, gift card, slip it in an envelope, easier to mail right?!
