CHRISTMAS NAIL COLOR: STILETTO RED

I am loooovin the Rimmel nail polish!!!! I mean look at how vibrant that red is!! but it's not just that, I love the finish of this nail polish, it goes on really really smooth... as in 100% streak free... I just love it!!

Nail Magic Nail Hardener (base coat)

Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro - STILETTO RED (3 coats)

Revlon No Chip top coat

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure - Starry, Starry Flight (2 coats on tips)

Seche Vite Dry Fast top coat

I probably should have left it alone but just to give it a little spark for the spirit of the Holidays, I tried doin a little nail art... I mean I reeeaaally tried!! haha... you'll see what I'm talkin about...

here is a picture of one thin coat of SH Starry, Starry Flight on the tips...

then after 3 coats of the glitter polish...

I tried to make it look like snow icicle....

but you're the judge whether I'm successful with this attempt or not... 

personally, I thought I did alright at my first attempt to nail art... =)

NOTW: BLUE SUEDE

it's my friend Chuck's birthday tomorrow & we are headed to Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia.... I realized that I always wear a dark colored nail polish whenever there's an event or whenever we go somewhere special... so to change it up a little, I decided to wear a different shade, still dark, but much lighter than what I used to always wear....

it was actually a nice suede finish (semi-matte) but I wasn't feelin the matte-ish finish right now, so I applied a top coat over 2 coats of the nail polish.... what I forgot to do though was take a picture of the Blue Suede without the top coat....

taken hours later, after I did some stuff.... you can actually see marks & little scratches on them...

I'm not too crazy about this n/p... I'm thinkin about takin it back to the store... is that even allowed?? LOL

pictures from the Six Flags trip to follow if I ever get to copy the pictures...I am so not bringin a camera... I hate extra baggages at crowded places like theme parks... my friends bring their cameras anyway, so I'll just ask for copies... =)

since I've heard so many makeup lovaahs ravin about the new line - Color Icon from Wet n Wild, I could not wait to get my self atleast one of the palettes to see why they're so crazy about them... I chose to get the PRIDE palette 

& I also got Lagoon from the same line....

& you can see from these swatches why so many girls are crazy about them...

holy crap!!! they are uber pigmented! something you wouldn't expect from a brand that's so dirt cheap.... I was amazed!! I want to get me all 4 or 5??? palettes....

I had to take off my lenses right away coz lately they've been making my eyes look really red.. I just ran out of contacts solution,  so I've been using my brothers, which is a different brand from what I use... so that might be what's causing it... I'm gonna have to get me some solution soon, I use Clear Care by the way...

but I guess you can't really see... I'll just do a post on a haul that I did at Wal-Mart on Friday so you can see how the jacket looks like.... watch out for that

my friend Sarah(mentioned in my last post), who is a fellow makeup whore, did some spring cleaning with her makeup collection... she was able to pick out stuff to sell & this is what I got from her....

Urban Decay Book of Shadows Palette

remember this?? I already have the Volume II... now my current dilemma is that now that I have the two, I wanna get the Alice in Wonderland & make it a 'Book of Shadows' collection... another problem is if it's still available??? is it still being sold?? anywhere?? help??

& the detail inside is pretty, however, I find it very useless...

I'm also not a big fan of the actual palette itself as it is a bitch to pull out... but not to worry, once you see the colors.... hmmmm... heaven!!

my fave is the BAKED one.... uber pigmented!!!

I got it for $30... which I think is a good deal, coz she hasn't used this palette, it looks like it was only swatched by her curious fingers, for her curious eyes... LOL 

she actually had a lot of stuff... I picked out 3 eyeshadow kits/palettes... but since I'm broke, thank G I managed to get only one thing... I mean if the MAC class wasn't this week & if the Sephora March Madness discount is not ending tomorrow then I would probably get more things... I was kinda savin up for those...

SECRET PERI-WINK-LE

I actually did my nails on Thursday... so these pictures were taken 3 days later, so you might notice a little chipping & some scratches... originally, I applied only 1 coat of the nail polish on top of the Nail Magic nail hardener, then a coat of Seche Vite top coat... it looks really pigmented but the picture didn't do it any justice... it looks prettier than the picture... it's sad that I wasn't able to capture that real periwinkle color it offers....

I've been getting a lot of compliments with my nails.. so I think I'm getting a little better with application & taking proper care of my nails... (which you probably couldn't tell with these pictures... LOL)

I thought I wasn't gonna like this n/p but I love this color... it's very spring! =)
