LOOK: SPRING - TROPICAL FUSION

this look is definitely Spring inspired... usually, Spring is all about pastel colors but this year is all about the brave, bold, bright colors... 

so here is my interpretation of that whole scheme... my first Spring LOTD...

then I thought I'd have fun, really go all out with this whole color blocking style that's been goin around this season... so I changed up the lip color into something more bold & bright... I tried,

Milani lipstick - Mandarina

it wasn't as bright as I expected it to be... the orange lipstick I'm looking for is more on the neony side.. this is a bit too dark for my taste.. it almost look red on the pictures.... but I guess it's more wearable this way than if it was too Orangey-bright....

hmmm... I'm itchin to get MAC's Morange lipstick, so bad!!!

do you own any orange lipstick?? what is your favorite one?

LOTD: SIMPLE INTERVIEW LOOK

a few weeks ago, I was called for a job interview... & since I haven't been to one in a long while, I was so excited, I thought I'd take pictures of a simple interview look....it's almost like an everyday look only the makeup/foundation is more obvious...

& for the camwhore luvvaaaaahhsss.....

I was not originally plannin on putting on the Wet n Wild liquid eyeliner... it was last minute when I thought about it.... when everything has already been done... so this is what it looks like when you put colored liquid eyeliner on after the mascara.... it kinda looked messy but at the same time it made it look like I was wearing colored mascara.... also, doesn't it look more green than turquoise?? (see swatch HERE) 

& for a more wearable look, I just took off the eyeshadows applied over the entire lid & kinda left a little bit of the turquoise eyeliner....

then, applied a different lipstick with a little bit more color to it... I used the Revlon Colorburst lipstick in Carnation (see haul post HERE) with a little bit of NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk to lighten the color a little bit...

all ready for poker night with the guys.... =)

- although they look very similar in pictures, in real life they are very different... the Flirty Rose Cre'me is a very toned down baby pink... it is very light in color... while the Pink Petal Glitter is a very Barbie pink... it has brighter tones that the Flirty Rose Cre'me... despite the Glitter in the name, it does not contain any glitters at all... however, they are both semi-glossy... I love these colors!!!! can't wait to wear them during Spring time...

then lastly, a non-BOGO sale item... Nailene topcoat... just wanted to try this out coz I've seen it in a lot of NOTW blog posts lately...

- Bite the Bullet almost looks identical to O.P.I.'s Do You Lilac It? it's just a tad darker than O.P.I.... my fave is the Club Havana, it's the perfect orange pastel... I love the Red Tape as well... it's not too dark... a little bit opaque & 'neonish'... I surely did not get disappointed with this haul...

& that concludes my BOGOF of the week... I sure hope it doesn't happen anytime soon again... my wallet's sure getting skinny... =(
